The idea is simple: alternate periods of intense work with periods of travel. You work a season somewhere (with the camper as your accommodation, which cuts costs a lot), save up, and then put those savings towards months on the road. It's a cycle many nomads repeat year after year.
Common seasonal jobs
- Hospitality and tourism: high season (summer on the coast, winter for snow) brings plenty of demand.
- Agriculture: harvest work (fruit picking, grape harvest) at different times and in different areas.
- Instructors and guides: sports, nature, camps.
- Campsite and site work, sometimes in exchange for a pitch and a wage.
