- An approved harness with a seatbelt attachment or a securely fastened carrier, so they travel safely while you drive.
- A grille or divider if you use the load area.
Food and water
- Their usual food in sufficient quantity (a sudden change can upset their stomach).
- Bowls, ideally spill-proof or foldable ones for travel.
- Plenty of water and a portable water bowl for walks and hot weather.
- Treats and a bone or two to keep them entertained.
Rest and comfort

- A towel to dry them after the beach, mud or rain.
Health and documentation

- Their medication if they take any, and antiparasitics.

- A recent photo on your phone and a tag with your phone number, in case they get lost.
Walks and needs
- Lead, walking harness and, if required, a muzzle.

- A small mat or rug so they have their own spot outside.
